Lactation Support That Meets You Where You Are
Breastfeeding is beautiful—but let’s be honest, it can also be HARD. Between sore nipples, latch struggles, supply worries, and the emotional toll, it’s easy to feel frustrated and overwhelmed.
If you’ve ever thought…
“Is my baby getting enough milk?”
“Why does this hurt so much? It’s supposed to be natural!”
“How do I keep up my supply when I go back to work?”
“Why does everyone else make breastfeeding look easy?”
…then you’ve come to the right place.
I’m here to tell you: You don’t have to figure it out alone.
As a Lactation Counselor, Licensed Midwife, and mother, I’ve supported hundreds of families in their breastfeeding journeys. Whether you’re preparing for your first latch, struggling to keep going, or transitioning to pumping or weaning, I offer the expertise and real-life experience to help you breastfeed with confidence.
Common Breastfeeding Challenges—Let’s Tackle Them Together
Breastfeeding comes with its own set of challenges, but solutions exist, and I’m here to help you find them.
Latch & Positioning Struggles
A shallow latch can lead to pain, frustration, and an unhappy baby. I’ll help you adjust positions, improve latch techniques, and find what works best for you and your little one.
Sore, Cracked, or Bleeding Nipples
Pain is NOT normal. Let’s find the root cause—whether it’s latch issues, tongue/lip ties, or something else—and get you relief.
Engorgement & Clogged Ducts
Painful, swollen breasts? I’ll help you manage engorgement and avoid complications like mastitis.
Lip & Tongue Ties
Ties can make nursing incredibly frustrating. I can assess feeding difficulties, connect you with trusted providers for revisions, and guide you through the aftercare process.
Low Milk Supply or Oversupply
Whether you’re worried about making too little or too much milk, I’ll help you regulate supply, optimize your baby’s feeding, and support your body’s natural rhythm.
Pumping & Returning to Work
Heading back to work? I’ll help you create a realistic pumping schedule, maximize milk output, and keep up your supply while balancing work demands.
Extended Breastfeeding & Weaning
Whether you want to nurse into toddlerhood or gently transition away from breastfeeding, I’ll provide support that aligns with your goals.
Tandem Nursing
Breastfeeding more than one child? I’ve done it myself and can guide you through the emotional and logistical aspects of tandem feeding.
A Special Message to BIPOC Mothers: We Breastfeed Too!
Breastfeeding rates among Black women are historically lower than other racial groups—not because we can’t breastfeed, but because systemic barriers and cultural stigmas have made it harder for us to receive the support we deserve.
Many of us didn’t grow up seeing breastfeeding as the norm.
Some of us were told formula was "just as good" without knowing our options.
Many Black mothers face higher rates of birth trauma, medical bias, and a lack of culturally competent lactation support.
Workplace policies often don’t consider our unique needs, making it harder to pump or continue breastfeeding.
But here’s the truth: Black women CAN and DO breastfeed.
Our bodies were made for this. You deserve support from someone who understands you—your culture, your experiences, and your struggles. As a Black woman, a mother, and a lactation professional, I am committed to changing the narrative, providing a safe space for you, and equipping you with the knowledge and confidence to feed your baby in the way that feels right for you.
So, Why Work With Me?
There are many lactation professionals out there, but here’s what makes me stand out:
I’m More Than Just a Lactation Counselor—I’m a Licensed Midwife.
With nearly a decade of experience supporting moms from pregnancy through postpartum, I bring clinical expertise AND holistic insight into lactation. I’ve worked with hundreds of families across all kinds of feeding journeys.
I’ve Been in Your Shoes.
I’m not just teaching from textbooks—I’ve lived this. I know what it’s like to struggle with painful nipples, pumping at work, lip and tongue ties, oversupply, and tandem nursing and more because I’ve experienced them myself. My approach is not just professional—it’s personal.
I Offer Judgment-Free, Personalized Support.
Breastfeeding looks different for everyone. Whether you want to exclusively breastfeed, combo feed, or transition to formula, I support YOUR feeding goals—not someone else’s expectations.
I Understand the Unique Challenges of Black Women.
As a Black woman, I offer culturally competent care, acknowledge the unique struggles we face, and create a safe space where you feel seen and heard.
